Dr David Verity KStJ, MA (Oxon), MD (Lon), BM BCh, FRCOphth

Dr David Verity is the Order’s Hospitaller and a Board Observer. David is an oculoplastic surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. His professional positions include past Treasurer, then President, of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society, past Treasurer for the European Society (ESOPRS), and previous Editor in-Chief of the international journal ‘ORBIT’. Ten years after its formation, he continues as clinical lead of SJEHG’s Ophthalmic Association, a professional subsidiary of SJEHG which runs local and international teaching programmes, and which introduces healthcare professionals across the world of ophthalmology to SJEHG. As a surgeon, he has undertaken working visits to our hospitals in Jerusalem and Gaza, with a view to supporting further collaborative surgical work in the West Bank and Gaza in the years to come.
