We are the single largest charitable provider of eye care in the Holy Land offering subsidised or free treatment and education – and we’ve been doing it for over 143 years. Today, we continue our mission to provide care for the most vulnerable, regardless of ethnicity, religion or ability to pay.

With your support, we can:

• Prevent blindness through early intervention and specialised treatment
• Train local clinicians to build long-term eye care capacity in the region
• Reach underserved communities through mobile outreach and satellite clinics

Every year, over one third of our patients are children. And for every £1 donated, 93p goes directly to our charitable work.

Why Major Gifts Matter?

Some 44% of our running costs are covered by patient-related income – private payments from patients who can afford to contribute, as well as from insurance schemes. Additional funding has come from both voluntary donations and partner agencies. However, ongoing political instability is making it more difficult to secure these traditional sources of funding. As a result, our ability to continue delivering expert care to the most vulnerable – refugees, children, the elderly and those living in poverty, relies more than ever on the generosity of our supporters.
