Outpatients & Major Surgeries

At the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group we provide sight-saving and life-changing eye care to thousands of patients across Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza, regardless of their ability to pay. In 2025, we treated over 232,000 patients and performed 4,550 major operations.

Breaking the Cycle of Preventable Blindness

Palestinians are ten times more likely to go blind than those in the West. This is due to limited access to quality care, poverty, and genetic factors.

Tragically, 80% of blindness in the region is preventable – but many patients cannot reach us without your support.

Through our Patient Relief Fund, we subsidise care for refugees, marginalised individuals, and those unable to afford treatment, ensuring that no one is turned away because of financial hardship. Demand continues to grow, and your donations directly fund care for those most in need.
