We are proud to be a truly global charity, supported by a network of committed individuals around the world who make our sight-saving work possible.
The Friends of SJEHG is a growing community of dedicated supporters who stand alongside the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group in delivering expert eye care to those who need it most across East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza.
As a Friend, you play an essential role in this mission. Your regular support helps us restore sight, protect futures and sustain services in some of the most challenging circumstances.
Why become a Friend?

Becoming a Friend means:
- Providing sight-saving, life-changing treatment for children and adults
- Supporting outreach to isolated and underserved communities

Your regular support allows us to plan ahead, respond quickly, and sustain services where they are needed most.
Choose your level of support
Friends are recognised through two levels of membership.
Sight Supporter
(£5-£80 per month / up to £1,000 annually)
As a Sight Supporter, you will receive:
- A personalised welcome email
- Jerusalem Scene newsletter twice a year
- A bespoke annual update and thank you
- Priority invitations to events, including exclusive Friends events
- Access to a complimentary “Friends Only” online CEO briefing
Sight Saver
(£80+ per month / £1,000+ annually)
Sight Savers play an especially vital role in sustaining our services.
As a Sight Saver, you will receive:
- A personalised welcome email
- Jerusalem Scene twice a year
- Our Annual Report
- A bespoke impact update around World Sight Day
- Priority invitations to events, including exclusive Friends events
- Access to a complimentary “Friends Only” online CEO briefing
- 25% discount on tickets to all SJEHG and Guild events
All Friends are part of our wider supporter community and will receive updates throughout the year, sharing stories of patients whose sight, and futures, have been restored because of your generosity.
