& Innovation

As the leading provider of eye care, the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group is also a regional hub for ophthalmic education, research, and professional development.

Ophthalmic Education & Residency

We run a fully comprehensive, four-year ophthalmology residency programme accredited by the Palestinian Board, the Arab Board, and the International Council of Ophthalmology.

The Sir Stephen Miller School of Nursing

Our Sir Stephen Miller School of Nursing, accredited by Al-Quds University, offers first-class postgraduate training to future ophthalmic nurses. Each year, we award scholarships to eight students, many of whom would otherwise be unable to pursue further education. Students benefit from academic study, practical experience, stipends, accommodation, and the guidance of expert mentors. Graduates often join our team, while others contribute their expertise across the region, spreading our impact far beyond the classroom.

We have also launched an in-house orthoptic assistant training programme for five optometrists and nurses.
