Patient Relief

Palestinians are 10 times more likely to go blind than in the west. Access to eye care, poverty, and genetics all play factors in increasing the likelihood of preventable blindness in this group. Sadly 80% of blindness in this region is curable but most will not have access to our care without your help.

We are committed to providing expert eye care in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza and treat patients regardless of ethnicity, religion, or ability to pay. We provide subsidies for refugees, marginalised people, and those who cannot afford the full treatment cost. In 2022 we performed over 6900 major surgeries and reached almost 142,876 patients. There is continued high demand for all our services and donations help us increase access to care for those who need it most.

All direct costs for patients exempt from payment, such as subsidiaries for refugees and marginalised people will cost £530,000 for the year.
