Charity Challenge to Jerusalem Hospital

Being sponsored to take part in a challenging expedition is a great way of raising funds for our charity, while also realising dreams and personal goals! Challenges take place in over 30 countries, from Africa, the Caribbean, Aisa, Europe and the Americas. Expedition choices range from treks, mountain climbs and white water rafting, to sailing and horse riding, and there are three different difficulty levels. Anyone can take part and raise sponsorship for the St John Eye Hospital Group at the same time.
Designed specifically for us, Charity Challenge is offering an exclusive 10 day trip to The Holy Land, incorporating the extraordinary Negev Desert. You will stay in indigenous Bedouin tents and trek through the truly breathtaking Negev mountainscape. Along the way, you will be able to look out for some amazing cultural and geological sights, including three enormous craters, one of which, Machtesh Ramon, is the largest erosional crater on earth!
You will also visit Jerusalem, one of the oldest multicultural cities in the world.
There, your adventure ends with a tour of the St John Eye Hospital itself, where you can learn, first-hand, how your donations help us provide eye care for thousands of people throughout Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem. We are also organizing a trip to the Great Wall of China.
On this challenge you will start in Jinshanling and proceed through the Gubeuikou Gateway. You will cover 12km each day along the stony path of the Wall, twisting and winding your way through and over vast mountain ranges. On completion of your Challenge you will return to Beijing to explore some of its many attractions including the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Lama Temple.
