On Saturday 7th July, the Icon journeyed from Hong Kong to Wales so that it could take pride of place at the Welsh Priory’s Service and Investiture in Llandaff Cathedral.
In the presence of the Lord Prior, the Icon was carried into the Cathedral by Rona Price, Hospitaller for the Priory for Wales and by Antoine Mattar, Deputy Chairman of the Hospital Board. There it was received by Hugh Thomas, the Prior for Wales, who held it aloft for the congregation of 500 guests to see.
