St. John Hospital Group has Moved.
New London Office.
The St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group has moved its London Offices. The new site is at Charterhouse Mews, just down the road from the current offices in St. John’s Lane.
The new offices, which are shared with the Order of St John, are located at 4 Charterhouse Mews, London EC1M 6BB. All telephone numbers remain the same as before the move.
The move was made possible by Robert Ehringer Krehl, who sadly passed away in 2009. A regular donor for several years, he gave almost £1 million to the Hospital Group. His last, kind act of support was to secure for us a permanent, rent-free office in London.
Krehl had been involved with St John for many years. He was on the Hospital Management Committee from 1989, and then the Board until 2008. In an acknowledgement of his importance to the Group, when John Talbot took over as Chairman in 2008, he asked Krehl to stay on the Board past his expected retirement date.
Another of his achievements was to help bring finances into the Hospital from the EU. This money helped massively in funding the Outreach Clinics and the Group’s Clinic in Gaza. He also helped soften the blow of the recession by donating £100,000 to the Group in the last quarter of 2008.
