In September 2009, The Guild of St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group hosted an inspiring concert at the Cadogan Hall in London, presenting the world premiere of Eye to Eye, a piece of music especially composed in celebration of the work of the Hospital Group by esteemed contemporary composer Patrick Hawes. That piece - as well as Holy City by Adams and Sanarjaou by Rahbani - were performed by the internationally renowned English Chamber Orchestra and Palestinian artists, Dima Bawab, Soprano, and Ramzi Shomali, Concert Pianist.
An anonymous donour then very kindly commissioned a series of short films to capture the unique atmosphere of the concert, incorporating inspiring imagery from the main Hospital in Jerusalem and including interviews with generous supporters, including HRH The Duke of Gloucester, Hawes himself and the performers who took part.
These very beautiful films can be viewed in both Arabic and English. We hope you enjoy them.
